Presidential Purchase is a tabletop roleplaying game set in dystopian post-2026 North America, where a neural surveillance chip called DAEDALUS monitors your every political move — and punishes resistance with escalating pain. You play a Politico trying to change the system from within.
It's intense... and brutal. The concequences are your trial by fire. You'll build a new system out of the ashes, while trying to survive.
Designed for a physical table. A StateMaster runs the session; 1–5 players navigate crises together. A web app supports play on phones and tablets.
When using the online interface, an AI referee is available to generate a short consequence narrative from your choices — grounded in political history, scaled to your character's resources.
Crises drawn from actual legislative, judicial, and executive pressure points. A document library labels what's real, what's factual, and what's game fiction.
Before your first crisis, build your character together with your group. Session Zero is a facilitated collaborative session where players create Politicos and establish relationships before the game begins.

At character creation, choose one of five Foundational Paths. Each shapes your starting traits, skills, and the kind of power you can build. A sixth path — the Titan — can only be earned through play.

Session Flow
Presidential Purchase is played in structured sessions, each with a crisis at the center. The StateMaster facilitates. The Politicos react, maneuver, and survive. Player actions drive the game, player decisions build a new world.
The StateMaster reveals the session's political crisis — a bill, an investigation, a faction move. Players see only what their characters would know.
Spend resources, make skill checks, leverage patronage. Argue, negotiate, betray. Every action adjusts your stats and generates Heat.
The specialized small model AI engine takes the group's actions and produces a three-paragraph narrative — what happened, what it cost, and what it changed.
Money, Reputation, Trust, AP, and Heat are updated on each character sheet. Short- and long-term goals roll into the next session.
Under the Hood
Presidential Purchase is in active development. The platform is free during the playtesting period — no payment required. We're a small team building something we believe in, and we want real players at real tables helping us get it right.
The tech stack is chosen for resilience: a graph database that can model the tangled relationships of political power, an AI consequence engine constrained to relevant political data, and a mobile-first design so the app works at a table without getting in the way of the game.
